The hotel
The first tower at the Marina.
Grosvenor House opened in July 2005, a single 45-storey tower at the entrance to Dubai Marina. In 2010 it became the first hotel in the UAE to join Marriott's Luxury Collection, then run by Starwood. A second tower of the same height followed in 2011, and the two together now hold 750 rooms and suites. The first tower alone held 422 of them, rooms, suites and apartment suites.
From the start the hotel brought British and international chefs to Dubai: Gary Rhodes, Vineet Bhatia, and the city's only Buddha-Bar. That line runs on today. Jason Atherton's Row on 45 fills the top of Tower Two with 22 seats, and the MICHELIN Guide gives it two stars. There is no beach of its own; guests use the one at Le Royal Méridien, its sister hotel by the sea.
- Row on 45 Twenty-two seats and a 17-course menu in three acts on the 45th floor, with a four-seat chef's table worth booking well ahead.
- A beach next door Guests have use of the private beach at Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort & Spa, the sister hotel by the sea.
- Fifteen bars and restaurants From Toro Toro's Latin American grill to Buddha-Bar and Indego by Vineet, without leaving the two towers.
