The hotel
Dorchester Collection on Marasi Bay.
The Lana is Dorchester Collection's first hotel in the Middle East, the sister of The Dorchester in London and Le Meurice in Paris. Foster + Partners designed it as a pair of interlocking towers on the edge of Marasi Bay Marina, with the Burj Khalifa straight ahead. Inside, the Parisian studio Gilles & Boissier used stone parquet, soft colours and controlled light. In Arabic, the name means a warm sense of belonging.
It opened in February 2024. It ranked No. 35 in The World's 50 Best Hotels 2025, and in 2026 the MICHELIN Guide raised it from one Key to two. Eight restaurants and bars fill the building, from Martín Berasategui's Basque dining room on the eighteenth floor to a hidden cigar lounge.
- High Society The infinity pool on the thirtieth floor, kept for hotel guests by day, then a lounge after dark with light plates by Jean Imbert and the Burj Khalifa in front of you.
- Dior Spa The Lana The house's first spa in Dubai, five treatment rooms dressed in toile de Jouy and pale wood, with a gym alongside.
- On the water A Rolls-Royce from the airport, and a Sunseeker yacht fitted out like the hotel for sunset cruises and afternoon tea at sea.
