The hotel

A baroque palace on the Crescent.

Raffles The Palm opened on 1 October 2021, the first beach resort the Singapore house has built in the Middle East. It sits on the West Crescent, the breakwater that wraps around the Palm Jumeirah, with the sea on one side and the fronds and the city skyline on the other. Rooms start at about 61 square metres, and the hotel calls its rooms, suites and villas the most spacious on the Palm.

The style is baroque and unapologetic. More than 6,000 Swarovski crystal chandeliers hang through the building, and some 70,000 pieces of furniture came from Francesco Molon's workshops in Italy, alongside Portuguese marble and gold and silver leaf. By the shore stand the four-bedroom Royal and Imperial Villas, each with its own pool. Back in the main building, the Cinq Mondes spa has twenty-three treatment rooms.

  • Cinq Mondes Spa Twenty-three treatment rooms, two spa suites, two hammams and a yoga studio, with what the hotel calls the largest indoor pool on the Palm.
  • The beach About 500 metres of private sand on the outer Crescent, with Piatti by the Beach at the water's edge.
  • Afternoon tea Served in Blüthner Hall, the lobby lounge, and on its terrace.

Rooms & suites

Large rooms, larger villas.

Rooms, suites and villas are furnished with antiques and Italian pieces, and the hotel describes them as the most spacious on the Palm.

  • Suites Signature Ocean and Presidential Suites From about 100 square metres to about 750 for the largest; the Raffles Royal Suite tops the range.
