The hotel
A ceramic tower on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Wasl Tower rises 303 metres beside Sheikh Zayed Road, a twisting form drawn by the Dutch studio UNStudio and engineered by Werner Sobek. Its skin is ceramic, set as fins that shade the glass and help cool the building. Mandarin Oriental took the lower part of the tower for its second hotel in Dubai, built with Wasl Hospitality, and 224 private residences fill the floors above.
The hotel opened in November 2025. Arrival is on the 36th floor, the rooms sit between the 16th and the 34th, and the London firm G.A Group did the interiors, with an art collection running through them. Within a year the MICHELIN Guide had given it one Key, alongside its beach sister, Mandarin Oriental Jumeira. Ten restaurants and bars were planned for the building, and several were still to open in 2026.
- Sky lobby Check-in is on the 36th floor, beside Yù, a Chinese bar and restaurant styled on 1960s Hong Kong, with Mì behind it in the manner of an old supper club.
- Pool terrace A 25-metre lap pool, a leisure pool and a shaded children's pool, with Noia by the Pool serving Greek food on the 11th floor.
- Two floors of spa Treatment rooms, two couples' suites and a VIP suite with its own hammam, plus vitality pools, saunas and a gym open around the clock.
