The hotel
A golf resort on Bávaro Beach.
Meliá opened Paradisus Palma Real at the end of 2005 with 554 suites, each with a Jacuzzi for two and a private terrace, set in tropical gardens behind a long run of white sand. Its neighbour was, and still is, the Cocotal Golf & Country Club: 27 holes and par 72, laid out by José Gancedo, 2.7 kilometres from the lobby. Bávaro Beach lies directly in front.
In December 2022 Meliá finished a renovation of the whole resort. It came back with 596 suites, 58 of them swim-up, eleven pools, new restaurants and a rebuilt The Reserve: 152 suites for adults only, with their own pool, their own beach, a lounge for private check-in, and Santé, a Mediterranean restaurant kept for Reserve guests. Flora and Malva opened as restaurants for adults only.
