The hotel
Suites behind the sand at El Cortecito.
Grand Palladium Punta Cana was built in 1992 on the Bávaro coast, at El Cortecito, and last refurbished in 2017. Its 582 rooms are spread over two buildings and fifteen villas in grounds of about 32 hectares, behind a white sand beach with lifeguards and hammocks. Three family pools, named after Barahona, Saona and Samaná, each cover more than a thousand square metres, and the spa was recently renovated.
It belongs to a larger Palladium resort that also takes in Grand Palladium Select Bávaro and the adults-only TRS Turquesa. The restaurants run from Indian at Bhogali and Japanese at Sumptuori to El Dorado, the steakhouse on the beach, and the clubs for children aged one to twelve are on this side of the resort. Every stay is all inclusive.
