The hotel
The Riviera of the 1960s, in Cap Cana.
Eden Roc sits inside Cap Cana, an estate of 30,000 acres on the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic, with a marina and the Punta Espada golf course by Jack Nicklaus. The Milanese designers Carlo Belgir and Marina Nova dressed it in the style of the Italian and French Riviera of the 1960s. It started with stand-alone suites in a tropical garden.
Each of those suites has a private courtyard, a gazebo, a private pool and a golf cart, and some open onto spa areas of their own. In 2016 the resort added 26 beachfront suites, finished the following year, and rebuilt its beach club with an infinity pool. It is the only Relais & Châteaux hotel in the country, and the first there to receive two MICHELIN Keys.
