The hotel
A merchant's house in Cotai.
Raffles at Galaxy Macau took its first guests on 16 August 2023 and was opened officially on 23 October 2024. Its two towers stand on the east promenade of Galaxy Macau, joined by a glass airbridge, with gilded façades and LED screens that can be seen from Hengqin across the water. With about 450 suites, it is the largest all-suite Raffles in the world.
Inside, the designers imagined the home of a fourteenth-century Italian merchant: Statuario marble, etched glass and peacock patterns running from the lobby ceiling to the suites. The lobby is planted with ninety trees and fifty thousand shrubs. Above the Raffles Lounge & Terrace hangs a chandelier fifteen metres long, made from about half a million crystals, under a glass ceiling that can be programmed to change its light.
- The Long Bar The first speakeasy version of the Singapore original, designed by Joyce Wang after the Portuguese carrack Madre de Deus and entered through a porthole door.
- Pools A forty-metre infinity pool on level 6 with cabanas, private heated pools in the Terrace and Signature suites, and free entry to Galaxy Macau's Skytop Wave Pool.
- Raffles Butlers On call 24 hours a day, and suite guests check in privately in their own suite.
