The hotel

A resort stacked inside a tower.

Banyan Tree Macau opened on 15 May 2011, the same day as Galaxy Macau, the resort in Cotai that holds it. Banyan Tree took its resort idea into a high-rise here. Every suite has an indoor relaxation pool, and Galaxy calls it the first urban resort in Macau built that way. The rooms pair high ceilings and open plans with Chinese art and hanging lamps.

At the top are ten villas from 450 to 950 square metres, each with its own garden, pool and butler, which Galaxy describes as the only full-sized resort villas in a Macau hotel. The Forbes Travel Guide has given it five stars for thirteen years running, and in 2026 the MICHELIN Guide raised it from one Key to two. The spa alone covers 2,800 square metres.

  • A pool in the suite Every suite has a private relaxation pool, with views over the Cotai skyline.
  • Banyan Tree Spa Twenty-one treatment rooms over 2,800 square metres, and Spa Suites with a treatment room of their own.
  • Saffron Thai cooking on the thirty-first floor under Executive Chef Jan Ruangnukulkit.
