The hotel
Hilton's first resort in China.
Hilton planned its first resort in China for the western end of Yalong Bay, with a soft opening announced for 2005. The architects WATG laid it out as a low-rise village in tropical gardens, with a lagoon pool running the length of the site and about three quarters of the rooms facing the beach. In 2008 the national rating committee awarded it five stars.
The grounds cover about ten hectares behind 746 metres of beach. At opening there were 501 rooms, suites and villas, averaging 48.5 square metres, most with a balcony over the gardens, the hills or the lagoon. The spa was built as a separate village of its own, 6,780 square metres with eight treatment pavilions set among the gardens. Today the resort lists seven places to eat and drink.
- Eight pools Eight outdoor pools, among them a lagoon pool that runs the length of the site.
- Kidz Paradise A large kids' club, with family rooms and suites designed for children.
- In the bay A white sand beach in front, and diving in Yalong Bay.
