It stands on the shore of Haitang Bay, about 42 kilometres by road from the airport.
A seawater canal about 1,200 metres long winds through the grounds, and dragon boats run along it between the rooms and the restaurants. Guests can also hire kayaks for the nearby Yun River. The grounds also hold a Wood Art Gallery, a wooden pagoda from the Qing period, a nine-hole golf course and 2,800 square metres of lawn for events.
