The hotel
A sail over the waterways.
One Dojima rises 195 metres over the waterways of Dojima, forty-nine storeys shaped like a ship's sail. Nikken Sekkei designed it for a mix of homes and hotel, and it was completed in 2024. Four Seasons opened in August 2024, taking twelve floors: the first and second, then the 28th to the 37th. Three design studios shared the interiors: CURIOSITY, SIMPLICITY and Design Studio Spin.
The 28th floor, GENSUI, is a modern take on the ryokan: 21 rooms and suites with tatami, sliding doors and low beds, and a lounge of their own. Above it, the other rooms run up to the 35th. The 36th is given to the spa, pool and baths, and the 37th to two restaurants and a bar with the skyline all around.
- GENSUI A ryokan floor inside a tower, with tatami rooms and the SABO Lounge, where its guests take a Japanese breakfast, tea and evening drinks.
- The 36th floor A 16-metre indoor pool, ofuro baths, a sauna and five treatment rooms, among them a couples' suite with its own bath.
- Sushi L'Abysse Yannick Alléno's French ideas over Edomae sushi, at an eighteen-seat counter on the 37th floor.
