The hotel

Forty floors above the island.

Nakanoshima is the long island between the Dojima and Tosabori rivers, at the heart of the city's business and cultural district. Conrad Osaka opened on 9 June 2017 in the top eight floors of Nakanoshima Festival Tower West, the second Conrad in Japan after Tokyo and the first in the west of the country. Festival Hall is next door, reached underground, so a concert needs no coat. Osaka Castle is about three kilometres east.

You check in on the 40th floor, about two hundred metres up, where the restaurants and the bar also sit. The spa, gym and indoor pool are on the 38th. Rooms face north, south or west, and none is smaller than fifty square metres. Two stations are linked to the building, and Umeda is within walking distance. The Executive Lounge and a wedding chapel take the 39th floor.

  • 40 Sky Bar & Lounge Beside the lobby on the 40th floor, with afternoon tea by day and cocktails over the river at night.
  • A pool in the sky A heated indoor pool of about twenty metres on the 38th floor, with the spa and a gym open around the clock.
  • Conrad Suite 220 square metres, with a round bath in red lacquer at its centre.
