The hotel
Sewing machines to suites.
Singer built this Art Deco palazzo in the early 1930s as its Italian headquarters, when the sewing machine company was at its height. The building runs between Via del Corso, Rome's main shopping street, and Via Alessandro Specchi. The Visocchi family began turning it into a hotel in 2018, and they still run it themselves. There are twenty-nine rooms, eleven of them suites.
A local architect and a Milanese interior designer kept the period lines and added contemporary art and modern furniture. The bedrooms have parquet floors and marble bathrooms. The standard rooms are a typical Roman size, while the Deluxe rooms and suites are larger than most in the centre. Two roof terraces hold the restaurant and the bar, and breakfast is also served on the fifth floor.
- Le Terrazze The rooftop restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner over the roofs of the centre.
- Jim's Rooftop Cocktail Bar A second terrace, given over to cocktails and the skyline at sunset.
- Via del Corso Rome's long shopping street is at the back door, with the Pantheon and Trevi a short walk away.
