The hotel
The Borghese annexe.
The house on Via dell'Arancio dates from the sixteenth century and was built as an annexe to Palazzo Borghese, let out by the princes of the family. In 1841 Princess Adelaide asked the French nuns of the Daughters of the Cross to open a school for poor girls here. The building was given to the order in 1938, and the sisters kept it until about 2013.
Conversion began around 2015, and Hotel Vilòn opened in 2018. The architect Giampiero Panepinto did the shared spaces; Paolo Bonfini, who designs film sets, did the rooms, in strong colours with plenty of art. The photographer Massimo Listri chose the pictures, among them his own photographs of the Uffizi. The hotel is a sister to Capri Tiberio Palace. Downstairs, the restaurant and lounge are called Adelaide.

- Adelaide A small dining room of nine tables with a lounge, a bar and a planted terrace, cooking Roman classics alongside more experimental plates.
- A hidden atrium An open-air lounge inside the building, away from the street.
