The hotel
A Manhattan apartment at KL Sentral.
The St. Regis opened in May 2016 as part of ONE IFC, a development at KL Sentral, with its rooms on floors seven to twenty-one. G.A. Design drew both the building and its interiors, on the idea of a grand Manhattan apartment, with marble halls and contemporary art. The rooms start at 678 square feet, which the hotel calls the largest in the city, and every one has a walk-in wardrobe.
The art is the first thing you see. A large horse by Fernando Botero stands by The Drawing Room, Mark Evans made Grace Thunders, and Barnaby Hosking's birds and butterflies in light recall the Lake Gardens next door. Those gardens, the National Museum and the Houses of Parliament are all in view from the upper floors, and the airport train leaves from across the road.
- Iridium Spa Nearly 12,000 square feet of spa using ESPA, looking over the green of the Perdana Botanical Gardens.
- Astor Bar A Manhattan-style bar under gold-leaf ceiling tiles, with a cellar of about 650 wines and The Macallan M Room for whisky.
- Rooftop An outdoor pool with the skyline beyond, and Crystal, a bar for sundowners.
