The hotel

Marriott's newcomer on Kololo.

Four Points by Sheraton arrived in Uganda with this hotel. It opened its doors to guests in September 2023, and President Yoweri Museveni cut the ribbon at the official opening on 31 October that year. The owners are Kenyan, the same group that holds the franchise for the two Four Points hotels in Nairobi. Rooms, suites and the restaurants share a building of eight floors.

The address is Elgon Terrace, on Kololo hill, just east of the centre of Kampala. There are 142 rooms and suites, with rain showers and 55-inch screens. Up on the roof are a heated pool and El-Jefe, a rooftop bar and grill cooking Caribbean and Latin American dishes. The Marketplace, the main restaurant, serves around the clock. In 2025 the tourism board graded the hotel four stars.
