The hotel
A London group in the Golden Triangle.
This was the Montage Beverly Hills until December 2019, when the Maybourne Hotel Group bought it. Maybourne, owner of Claridge's, The Connaught and The Berkeley in London, had never run a hotel outside the city. It took over in April 2020 and reworked the hotel over eighteen months, keeping it open throughout. It is now the only Maybourne hotel in the United States, sister to The Maybourne Riviera on the Côte d'Azur as well as the London houses.
The hotel stands in the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills and looks over the Beverly Canon Gardens. Bryan O'Sullivan did the rooms in Californian pastels with tall windows. André Fu designed the bar, hung with photographs by Mary McCartney, and Jessalyn Brooks painted the mural in The Terrace. On the roof there is a lap pool with cabanas, and in 2026 the MICHELIN Guide gave the hotel two Keys.
