The hotel

The hotel opened on 20 June 2018 in the top eight floors of a 48-floor tower, with The Bvlgari Residences below. It is part of the Suhe Creek project beside Suzhou Creek, a few minutes from the Bund, and looks across to the Bund and the towers of Pudong. Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel designed it, as they did the Bvlgari hotels in Milan, London and Beijing.
At the foot of the tower stands the Chamber of Commerce building, completed in 1916 and restored for the hotel. It now holds the ballroom, with ceilings three storeys high, the Whisky Bar and Bao Li Xuan, the Cantonese restaurant with two MICHELIN stars. Gardens surround both buildings, and the Bvlgari Spa, two thousand square metres, has a heated indoor pool of 25 metres.
