The hotel
Thirty-five years in the Golden Triangle.
The Peninsula Beverly Hills opened on 8 August 1991, the first new luxury hotel in Beverly Hills for twenty years and the second Peninsula in the United States, after New York. It belongs to The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, the group behind The Peninsula Hong Kong, and stands in tropical gardens in the Golden Triangle, the grid of streets around Rodeo Drive.
Before its 35th anniversary in 2026, Hirsch Bedner Associates refreshed the rooms in soft pink, powder blue and green, keeping the original Rose Aurora marble vanities from Portugal. On the roof, the 60-foot pool gained ten striped cabanas. The Belvedere, redesigned and hung with contemporary art, remains the house restaurant, and afternoon tea in The Living Room is still served to the sound of a harp.
- The villas Seventeen private villas in the gardens. The Peninsula Villa has two storeys, a patio Jacuzzi and its own gate.
- The roof An 18-metre heated pool with cabanas, the Roof Garden restaurant and the spa, with seven treatment rooms.
- Peninsula cars Chauffeured transfers in a Rolls-Royce Phantom or a Peninsula Edition BMW, with a hotel team at LAX to meet arrivals.
