The hotel
The first Maison of Cheval Blanc.
Cheval Blanc Courchevel opened in 2006 in the Jardin Alpin at Courchevel 1850, right on the pistes, and LVMH Hotel Management has run it since. It holds the French Palace distinction. Skis go on at the door, and the runs lead straight into the Trois Vallées. Inside there are only 36 rooms and suites, an indoor pool and a spa by Guerlain.
Yannick Alléno came to Le 1947 in 2008, and in 2017 the MICHELIN Guide gave it a third star. Sybille de Margerie designed the rooms and suites, and works by Andreas Gursky, Paola Pivi and Bruno Peinado hang through the house. In the evening there are cocktails by the fire. The hotel opens only for the winter, from early December to early April.

Every room has a sitting area, a separate dressing room and a terrace or balcony. Five interconnect for families in La Maison.

Getting there
Flying to Courchevel.
Geneva has the widest choice of scheduled flights, about 190 kilometres and two and a half hours by road. Private jets usually land at Chambéry, 110 kilometres away, from where a helicopter reaches Courchevel in about 25 minutes; small aircraft with a rated pilot can use the altiport at 1850.
