The hotel
A 1932 hotel and a new wing.
Ahuriri is one of the first parts of Napier to be settled, a port village on the harbour north of the centre. The Crown went up on the corner of Bridge Street and Hardinge Road in 1932, and that original building, refurbished, now holds the heritage suites, in Art Deco style, and the House Bar. The bar is open every day and has a private courtyard with a fireplace outdoors.
A contemporary wing beside it adds suites with floor-to-ceiling windows, large living rooms and, in most cases, a deck of their own facing the water. Studios sit alongside one- and two-bedroom suites. Ahuriri Beach and Westshore Beach are close, and so is the estuary, while the centre of Napier is about five minutes away by car. The hotel also has a fitness room, a guest laundry and rooms for conferences.

- Heritage suites Studios and two-bedroom suites in the Art Deco rooms of the original 1932 hotel.
- On the waterfront Ahuriri's harbour, beaches and estuary lie around the hotel, and the airport is about ten minutes away.
