The hotel
A bank on Castle Street.
The building on Pils iela went up in 1877 as a bank, and the MICHELIN Guide records it as the former home of the Central Bank. The bank's foyer became the hotel lobby, and it is still lit by chandeliers. The street runs through the Old Town, so the cathedral, the castle and the river are all within a short walk.
The hotel is small for its grand name: fifty-six rooms on five floors, from Superior rooms to a One-Bedroom Suite. Breakfast is served in the Orangerie Hall under a glass ceiling. In the evening, Seasons cooks a menu of local produce that changes through the year, and Pils Bar mixes cocktails until ten. The hotel belongs to Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
- Seasons The hotel's restaurant, listed in the MICHELIN Guide, with chef Timofej Monahhov cooking local produce through the seasons.
- The Orangerie Hall Breakfast under a glass ceiling, in a room of 149 square metres that also hosts dinners and events.
- Pils Bar Lunch, dinner and the house cocktails, open from noon.
