The hotel

Asia Khiva opened in 2004, outside the walls of Itchan Kala, beside Tash-Darvoza, the stone gate on the south side of the old town. It belongs to the Asia group, which also runs hotels in Bukhara and Fergana, and it has grown into a set of buildings with a restaurant seating 170, a summer café and a conference hall for sixty.
From the door, the old town is a short walk. The Islam Khodja minaret and mosque are about six hundred metres away, the Kalta Minor and the Kunya-Ark citadel around eight hundred. The hotel sits beyond the walls, yet the whole of Itchan Kala, with its madrasas and minarets, can be explored on foot from here. Guests come back to an outdoor pool and a Finnish sauna.

Getting there
Flying to Khiva.
Urgench International is about 30 kilometres away, roughly fifty minutes by car. Since September 2026 an electric train has linked the airport with Khiva in 42 minutes. Private jets also land at Urgench, which clears them through customs and has VIP and CIP halls.
