The hotel
On the cliff above the reef.
Stella Di Mare sits on a low cliff at the south-western entrance to Naama Bay. Below it, a sandy beach and sun terraces step down to sheltered shallows, and two jetties, one fixed and one floating, run out over the coral to deeper water. Snorkellers can swim out to the reef from the shore or from the jetty. All 298 rooms have a balcony or a terrace, and the main pool has a swim-up bar.
The Desert Rose Diving Center works from the hotel, and the reefs of Ras Mohammed are a few kilometres down the coast. On land there are two lagoon pools, heated through the winter, a spa of 600 square metres and a nine-hole golf course next door. The Naama Bay promenade is twenty minutes or so on foot, and a free shuttle runs there on request.

- Desert Rose Diving Center A PADI five-star dive centre at the hotel, with Ras Mohammed's reefs close by.
