The hotel
Pools and a jetty at Nabq.
Mirabel Beach was built in 2007 on Nabq Bay, the coast north of the airport that looks out over the Gulf of Aqaba. It belongs to Jaz Hotel Group, the Egyptian chain. The rooms are light and plainly decorated, with balconies turned towards the sea or the pools, and a jetty leads out from the beach. Snacks, drinks and ice cream are served at the beach bars through the day.
Six pools spread through the gardens, with an aqua park and a pool of their own for children, a kids club and a playground. There is a tennis court, a gym and Mividaspa. Three à la carte restaurants, Asian, Italian and Middle Eastern, sit beside the two main dining rooms, and shuttle buses run to Naama Bay for the shops and restaurants of the main resort strip.
