The hotel
Waves on Nabq Bay.
Laguna Vista lies at Nabq Bay, the stretch of coast north of the airport that runs up towards the Nabq protected area. The buildings rise no higher than three storeys, with 554 rooms between them, and the private beach is about 50 metres away. Pickalbatros runs it all-inclusive, with food and drink available at any hour; the lobby bar never closes, and nine restaurants and eight bars are named on its list.
Much of the space goes to water. Besides the pools there is an aqua park for adults, another for children, and a surf pool whose machinery makes waves for beginners and practised surfers alike. Swim-up rooms open straight onto a pool, and at the top of the range a villa on two floors has its own pool and kitchen. A spa, a gym, a padel court and the Alba Kids Club fill out the grounds.
