The hotel

Facing Tiran from Shark's Bay.

Rotana opened the resort in August 2005 at Shark's Bay, north of Naama Bay and a few kilometres from the airport. It runs down to a private beach 450 metres long. Across the water lies Tiran Island, and many of the rooms are turned towards it; the others face the gardens.

The coral starts just off the beach, so snorkelling needs no boat, and a diving centre in the resort takes divers further out. There are four pools: an Olympic-size pool, an infinity pool, a lagoon pool and a heated pool for children. Zen the Spa and a kids club complete the grounds.

  • The house reef Coral just offshore for snorkelling, and a diving centre on site for dives further out.
  • Royal Villas Nine villas with four or five bedrooms and their own pools, for families or groups travelling together.
  • Four pools Olympic-size, infinity, lagoon and a heated children's pool, with the Aquarius bar beside them.
