The hotel

A monastery in the capital.

Katikies Garden occupies a restored monastery of the eighteenth century in the old Venetian quarter of Fira, the island's capital. Whitewashed passages under arches lead to a central courtyard with palm trees, bougainvillea and an antique tiled fountain. Lit stairways climb to the infinity pool on the roof, which looks over the town, the sea and the mountains. Below ground, a medieval cellar is used for wine tastings.

There are forty suites, finished in white, silver and deep emerald green over dark wooden floors. Each has a private veranda, and many have a plunge pool or an open-air tub. The group's hotels in Oia and Imerovigli take guests from 13 and point families with younger children here. In 2026 the MICHELIN Guide gave the hotel one Key, and its restaurant, Selene, one star.

  • Selene One MICHELIN star in the October 2026 selection, served in the monastery courtyard, with a wine bar and wine caves alongside.
  • Pool on the roof An infinity pool on the top level with a view of 180 degrees, open from 11 am to 6 pm.
  • Katikies Spa Four spa suites and a beauty salon, also used by guests of the group's other hotels.
