The hotel
A palazzo for art on Monte Solaro.
Tonino Cacace opened the hotel in the 1960s on the hill above the Gulf of Naples, in the style of an 18th-century Neapolitan palazzo: whitewashed walls, vaulted ceilings, columns. Over the years he filled it with art, from tributes to Miró, Magritte and Warhol to the White Museum, with works by De Chirico, Keith Haring and Pomodoro spread through the corridors.
Jumeirah took over the management in 2020, and the name has since become Jumeirah Capri Palace. Patricia Urquiola redesigned the suites, the pool and the bars, and the collection keeps growing through a partnership with Galleria Continua. The hotel opens each spring, in 2026 on 16 April, and closes in the autumn.
- L'Olivo Andrea Migliaccio's dining room, the only restaurant on Capri with two MICHELIN stars, where Campanian tradition meets modern technique.
- Il Riccio The beach club and restaurant on the rocks by the sea, reached by the hotel shuttle, with sunbeds for guests when available.
- Capri Medical Spa Medical and holistic programmes under the dermatologist Dr Chantal Sciuto, open to guests from 16.

Getting there
Flying to Amalfi.
Capri has no airport. Scheduled flights and private jets land at Naples International, about 20 minutes by car from the Molo Beverello quay; the hydrofoil to Capri takes about 45 minutes, and the drive up to Anacapri about 20 more, our estimate. A private boat or a helicopter can shorten the crossing.
