The hotel
White on white above Praiano.
Praiano lies between Positano and Amalfi, eight kilometres from the first and thirteen from the second. Casa Angelina sits on the cliff above the village, in a white building designed by Marco de Luca, a local designer. Walls, floors, sofas and beds are all white, so the colour comes from outside: the sea, the coast and Positano in the distance.
Inside hangs a private art collection, with sculptures by the Cuban artist Alfredo Sosabravo among the pieces. A glass lift climbs to Un Piano nel Cielo on the top floor, where Leopoldo Elefante has cooked since 2017; the restaurant won its MICHELIN star in November 2023. In April 2024 the hotel added the Vermarine Suite, furnished with Paola Lenti, and a small pier below the hotel takes water taxis along the coast.
- Two pools An outdoor pool among lemon trees and hydrangeas, and a heated indoor pool by the gym, with the sea and Positano in view.
- La Gavitella A private lift and about 250 steps lead down to the cove, where the front row of the beach club is kept for hotel guests.
- Into Positano A free shuttle runs to Positano, eight kilometres along the coast road.
