The hotel
A restaurant that grew a hotel.
Xenodocheio is the Greek word for hotel, and Milos refers to the restaurants of the chef Costas Spiliadis, with Estiatorio Milos tables in Montreal, New York, London, Las Vegas, Miami and Los Cabos. The island has nothing to do with it. This is the first hotel to carry the name, and Spiliadis, who has championed Greek food since 1966, set the menus. GTP called it the first five-star food destination hotel in Athens when it was announced in 2021.
The hotel opened on 15 January 2022 in a historic building on Kolokotroni Street, opposite the Old Parliament. A1 Architects and Dimitris Agiostratitis converted it, and Divercity and Nikolas Travasaros designed rooms with high ceilings and marble bathrooms, no two alike. Estiatorio Milos fills the ground floor, and Syntagma is a few minutes away on foot. The best suites have terraces with Jacuzzis over Old Parliament Square, and a spa on the third floor uses Elemis products.
- Estiatorio Milos Whole fish baked in sea salt, oysters, Greek ceviche and a raw fish bar, in the restaurant downstairs.
- Terrace suites One-bedroom suites with outdoor terraces and Jacuzzis over Old Parliament Square and Lycabettus Hill.
- The spa Elemis treatments and a steam room on the third floor, with yoga and Pilates on the roof.
