The hotel
Between the Acropolis and the temple.
Anthology of Athens stands at the top of Syngrou Avenue, where the avenue meets the old city. Across the road rise the columns of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, begun in the sixth century BC; up the hill is the Acropolis. Dionysiou Areopagitou, the pedestrian walk to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, starts a few steps away, and the National Garden is close by.
The building rises five floors around a central atrium, where a vertical garden cascades down to the bistro. Rooms are sage and ivory, with parquet floors and marble bathrooms. On the roof, the Botany restaurant has gardens of its own and a pool. The hotel belongs to The Leading Hotels of the World. The MICHELIN Guide gave the hotel one Key in its first Greek selection, in 2025.
- Botany The roof garden restaurant, cooking Greek dishes around herbs, with the Acropolis in view.
- Balaneion Spa Private spa suites with a steam room and a relaxation area, after the baths of ancient Athens.
- The atrium A vertical garden hangs through the middle of the building over Peristyle, the all-day bistro.
