The hotel
Above the Orla Bardot.
Vila d'este stands on the hill of Humaitá in Armação, the centre of Búzios, looking out over the bay. Its owners bought it with other houses in town in the mid-1990s with the aim of keeping the original character of the place, and in 2015 they renovated every room with the architect Paulo Guilherme without touching the structure, adding cisterns to collect rain.
Paintings by the artist Di Angelo hang in the public rooms. From the terrace a flight of steep steps runs down to the Orla Bardot, the promenade along the bay, and Rua das Pedras with its restaurants and boutiques is a few minutes on foot. The restaurant, with its terrace over the water, cooks Mediterranean dishes and is open to non-residents.
- Pool over the bay A heated infinity pool with hydro-massage on the edge of the property, above the water.
- Down to the Orla Steps from the hotel lead straight down to the Orla Bardot, the promenade along the bay.
- Into town on foot Rua das Pedras is about six minutes away, Armação beach a short walk.
