The hotel

A lodge on the lake.

Most of Whistler's big hotels stand in the village, under Blackcomb. Nita Lake Lodge is in Creekside, at the base of Whistler Mountain, on the shore of a glacier-fed lake. It calls itself the only lakeside resort in Whistler, and its windows look across the water to forest and mountains. The Creekside Gondola is about 500 metres away, and a free shuttle runs to the main village.

Every room is a suite, from studios to two bedrooms, with a gas fireplace in basalt stone, heated floors and a deep tub. The lodge lists eleven suite types, the largest the Rainforest Suite, reached by a private lift. The Den cooks mostly organic produce from British Columbia. In 2024, the MICHELIN Guide gave the lodge one Key in its first Canadian selection, and it still holds it.

  • The rooftop spa Hot tubs and a barrel sauna on the roof, a eucalyptus steam room, and a second barrel sauna down by the lake.
  • The Den The lodge restaurant, cooking mostly organic produce from British Columbia, with a five-course tasting menu from its own test kitchen.
  • Skiing from Creekside The gondola up Whistler Mountain is a short walk away, so the day starts without a trip into the main village.
