The hotel
The house of Enric Batlló.
The building went up in 1895 and 1896 for Enric Batlló, of the family whose name is also on Gaudí's Casa Batlló down the street. Its architect was Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas, the pre-modernist who also designed the Arc de Triomf. He gave the house a Neo-Gothic front of brick, stone, ceramic and wrought iron, which has been restored down to its wooden carpentry and shutters.
Until a few years ago the house was part of the Hotel Condes across the road. Oscar Tusquets, Carles Basso and Tote Moreno reworked it as a hotel of its own, completed in 2016, with interiors by Mercè Borrell. Behind the old front are curving ceilings, tall vertical beams, pale stone and steel. Lasarte shares the building and holds three MICHELIN stars.
- Lasarte Martín Berasategui's Barcelona restaurant, run day to day by head chef Paolo Casagrande, holds three MICHELIN stars in the 2026 guide.
- The roof A plunge pool with daybeds, a cocktail bar and the Verbena Terrace, looking across to the chimneys of La Pedrera.
- On the boulevard Casa Batlló and La Pedrera are a few minutes away on foot, and the Gràcia district is close by.
