The hotel
On the Danube embankment.
The hotel opened in May 2010 on Dvořákovo nábrežie, the embankment on the left bank of the Danube, a walk from the old town and below the castle hill. It now belongs to Marriott's Luxury Collection. Many rooms look over the river promenade, as do the terraces of the restaurant and the lobby bar. There are 191 rooms and 40 suites, and the smallest room measures 35 square metres.
The spa takes the eleventh floor: a pool with a view over the water, two jacuzzis, three saunas and a steam room, and a gym of 270 square metres above it. In 2026 Falstaff named RIVERBANK its hotel restaurant of the year and the hotel's Szilárd Deák its sommelier of the year. The wine cellar, by the hotel's account, is the largest of any hotel in Slovakia.
