The hotel
Built by a crane maker, high above the Inn.
Hans Liebherr, the founder of the Liebherr engineering group, built the Interalpen in 1985 on the Seefeld plateau, at about 1,300 metres. The street outside carries his name, and the hotel still belongs to the group. Seefeld is thirteen kilometres away, Innsbruck about thirty-five, and Garmisch-Partenkirchen lies about nineteen kilometres away across the German border. Shuttles run down to the stations at Seefeld, Telfs, Innsbruck and Mittenwald.
It works through both seasons, with skiing in winter and walking in summer. Of its 268 rooms, 22 are suites, some of them laid out for families, with babysitters on request. The spa covers more than 5,400 square metres, with a panorama pool indoors and out. In 2025 the Chef's Table won a MICHELIN star, kept in 2026, and in 2026 Forbes Travel Guide gave the hotel four stars and Falstaff its top score of 100 points.
- The spa More than 5,400 square metres, with an indoor and outdoor panorama pool, textile and textile-free saunas, steam baths and a Private Spa.
