The hotel
Facing the German Dome.
The hotel went up at the start of the 1990s on the edge of the Gendarmenmarkt, the square framed by the German and French Domes. The German Dome stands right across from the front door, the French Dome a hundred metres further on, and many rooms look straight over the square. Two of the restaurants face it too. The hotel was last renovated in 2010.
Its street changed name in August 2025. Mohrenstraße became Anton-Wilhelm-Amo-Straße, after an eighteenth-century scholar born in what is now Ghana and the first known philosopher of African origin in Germany. Behind the façade are the guest rooms, Dome Suites named for the view, and fifteen rooms for meetings, the largest a ballroom of 448 square metres. Club guests use the Executive Lounge.
- The view Many rooms and suites look onto the Gendarmenmarkt, and the Dome Suites take their name from the domes opposite.
- Pool and spa An indoor pool, sauna and gym, with BABOR treatments such as hot stone massage and rasul.
