The hotel

House number 141.

The old house at Obermieming 141 appears in the records in 1694, and the Pirktl family has owned it since the late nineteenth century. In 1958 the foundation stone was laid for the Alpenresort Schwarz, and from the 1960s Martha and Franz Pirktl turned the inn into a holiday resort. The dining room was extended in 1976, and in 2019 the building was rebuilt on its historic foundations.

The resort stands on a sunny plateau above the Inn valley, west of Innsbruck, with the Mieming range behind it and a 27-hole golf course at the door. Rooms are lined in pale wood, each with its own balcony or terrace. In April 2024 Joachim Jaud, who trained here, opened Restaurant 141 in the old house; it gained two MICHELIN stars nine months later.

  • ME SENSE Spa Some 5,500 square metres, with a sauna village of seven saunas and heat cabins and a mountain lake for swimming.
  • Nine pools Indoor and outdoor pools split between a calm side and a family side, and a 25-metre infinity pool on the roof of the main house.
  • Golf at the door A 27-hole course runs beside the resort, and one of the three restaurants sits at its highest point.
