The hotel

On the Malecon, facing the fort.

Simon Hotel opened in February 2016 on the seafront promenade of Fort-de-France, the Malecon, built from the start for a four-star classification. The architect was Didier Lefort, and the building is plainly contemporary. Most of the rooms measure 28 square metres and look either over the Baie des Flamands or over the town, and the suites have private terraces facing the water.

Fort Saint-Louis, a fortress begun in the seventeenth century, stands across the water. Markets, museums, bars and restaurants are a short walk away, and the boats for Les Trois-Îlets and Pointe du Bout leave from the quay at the foot of the hotel. With four meeting rooms and a gym, the hotel was planned for people working in the capital.

  • The bay at the door Ferries to the beaches across the bay leave from the quay below the hotel.
  • Lounge Bar Bolibar Cocktails and tapas on a panoramic terrace from five in the evening.
  • Built for work Four meeting rooms, free wifi throughout and secure parking.
