The hotel
The city side of Sutera Harbour.
Work on Sutera Harbour began in 1994, and the estate was dedicated in July 2000 after six years of building. It covers 384 acres of ocean-front land in Kota Kinabalu and holds two hotels, a marina and a country club. Of the two, The Pacific Sutera was planned for people in town on business, and it is the larger, with five hundred rooms.
The hotel faces the South China Sea beside the marina, where a hundred and ten berths and thirteen superyacht berths fill the basin. Guests share the 27-hole course by Graham Marsh with the resort next door. Horizons Sky Bar pours cocktails and keeps a cigar lounge for the hour when the sun drops into the sea. Cafe Boleh, the all-day restaurant, serves local and international dishes all day.
- Horizons Sky Bar Cocktails, cigars and a wide view of the sunset over the South China Sea.
- Golf and marina Twenty-seven holes by Graham Marsh and a private marina, both on the estate.
