The hotel

A hotel in the tallest tower.

Batumi Tower rises 205 metres from the seafront, the tallest building in the Caucasus. Hausart Project designed it as a mixed-use tower, and a Ferris wheel was built into its side at the level of the 27th floor. The developer Redco Georgia put about 80 million US dollars into bringing the Le Méridien brand to the country, and the hotel takes two sections of the building.

It opened in March 2020 with 105 rooms, the first Le Méridien in Georgia, run by Marriott International. The Tbilisi design firm Rooms did the interiors. On the ground, the hotel sits on Ninoshvili Street by the shore, with an outdoor pool, an indoor pool and a spa, and a French brasserie that also cooks the dishes of Batumi. The Latitude Bar pours cocktails and illy coffee on a terrace of its own.

  • Two pools An outdoor pool for the summer and an indoor one for the rest of the year, with a sauna and steam rooms alongside.
  • Latitude Bar Cocktails and illy coffee, with a terrace of its own.
  • By the shore The tower stands on the Black Sea shore in the centre of Batumi, on Ninoshvili Street.
