The hotel
Villas in an olive grove.
Mandarin Oriental opened here in October 2015, on twenty hectares of olive groves and gardens off the Route du Golf Royal, with the Atlas in view from some of the suites. Most guests stay in one of the walled villas, each built around a courtyard garden, with a pool, a hot tub, an outdoor shower and shaded space to eat outside.
The medina is about ten minutes away by car, and the hotel runs a shuttle into town. Back among the trees, the spa covers 1,800 square metres, with two hammams and treatment areas outdoors under the olives. Lunch is Mediterranean at the Pool Garden, and evenings move between Ling Ling, the Cantonese restaurant from the Hakkasan team, and The Tent, where a DJ plays over sundowners.
- A pool to yourself Every villa has its own pool and hot tub behind garden walls, and the suites have plunge pools.
- The spa Two hammams, vitality baths and treatments under the olive trees, with Spa Villas that open straight onto it.
- Into town A hotel shuttle runs to the medina, about ten minutes away by car.
