The hotel

The fifth La Falaise in Douala.

La Falaise is a Douala name. The SEM group, the Société des établissements Monkam, already ran four hotels under it when this one opened in Bonapriso, a residential quarter of the city's first district. Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute attended the inauguration on 23 April 2019. The tower rises sixteen levels on the avenue once called rue Njo-Njo, with parking below ground.

Rooms and suites take the first nine floors. Floors ten to twelve hold apartments, each with two bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and a full kitchen, for longer stays. Meetings and banquets go to the thirteenth floor. Lower down, the restaurant and the bar with its terrace sit beside a pool raised above the street.

Flying to Douala.

Douala International (DLA) serves both scheduled flights and private jets. From Bonapriso it is about 10 to 15 minutes by car by our estimate, and the hotel runs a shuttle on request.
