The hotel
Hilton comes to the Black Sea.
Hilton Batumi took its first guests in 2015, the first Hilton hotel in Georgia, run under a management agreement with the local company Tourinvest. CallisonRTKL drew the concept for the building and the Georgian practice MUA carried it through construction. All 247 rooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling glass. A twenty-storey block of 114 private apartments was built alongside it as part of the same project.
The address is 40 Rustaveli Avenue, about fifty metres from 6 May Park and the Seaside Boulevard, with the Dolphinarium next door and the old town a kilometre away. Rooms look out over the Black Sea, the mountains or the Dolphinarium. Downstairs, the Rustaveli Ballroom seats up to 750 guests, and a casino shares the building. Pelion, on the ground floor, serves Georgian dishes and the breakfast buffet.
- Nephele Sky Bar A cocktail bar on the twentieth floor that the hotel calls the Window of Adjara, with sushi, khachapuri and the sea and the mountains in view.
- eforea spa Seven treatment rooms, an indoor pool, a sauna, a steam room and a fitness centre.
- On the boulevard Fifty metres from the seaside park and its promenade, a short walk from the old town and under half an hour from the Botanical Garden.
