The hotel

The tower opened as Mövenpick Hotel Colombo, declared open by President Maithripala Sirisena on 9 January 2017. It rises 24 storeys in Colombo 03, a short walk from Liberty Arcade and the sea, and the Sri Lankan group Softlogic owns it. Every room has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Indian Ocean or the city. The National Museum, Independence Square and the Pettah market are each about ten minutes away by car.

On 1 June 2024 Minor Hotels, which runs it for Softlogic, gave it the NH Collection name, the brand's first hotel in Sri Lanka. The room count stayed at 219, from rooms of 33 square metres up to a Presidential Suite of 254, which Minor calls the largest in the city. The roof holds an infinity pool and the Vistas bar, and the fourth floor keeps a walk-in cellar of wine and cheese.
