The hotel
ITC's first hotel abroad.
ITC Ratnadipa opened on 25 April 2024, the Indian group's first hotel outside India, and carries Marriott's Luxury Collection name as well. It stands on Galle Face Centre Road between the Indian Ocean and Beira Lake. The plan is triangular, so that rooms catch the view and the building uses less energy, and every room has its own balcony.
High up, a sky bridge holds two infinity pools and Ahasa, the rooftop bar, about a hundred metres above the ground. A helipad leads straight to the Grand Presidential Suite. More than six hundred local pieces, from paintings to sculpture, hang in the halls. The building holds LEED Platinum, and Sri Lanka Tourism classified the hotel five-star in January 2026.
- The Sky Bridge Two infinity pools and the Ahasa bar about a hundred metres up, with the ocean on one side and Beira Lake on the other.
- Avartana Progressive South Indian cooking and Jiaa, an eleven-course Sri Lankan menu.
- Kaya Kalp, The Royal Spa Ayurvedic and international treatments, with a fitness centre open around the clock.
