The hotel
Behind the walls of the Riad Ouarzazi.
The hotel takes the place of the Riad Ouarzazi, whose walls it keeps; the hotel dates the riad to the thirteenth century. It stands on rue de la Koutoubia, a short walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa, with the minaret that gives the street its name just above the rooftops. The souks are a few minutes away on foot, and Marrakech Menara about four miles by road.
Inside are patios and gardens, a library, a billiards room and a fitness centre. There are 108 rooms in all, and more than half of them are suites. A heated pool sits in the garden and another indoors beside the Shiseido spa, and up on the panoramic terrace the Koutoubia fills the view. The restaurants cover Indian, Moroccan and grilled dishes.
- The terrace A panoramic terrace that looks onto the Koutoubia minaret, with the Sky Bar close by for a drink.
- Two heated pools One outdoors in the garden, one indoors, kept for adults taking spa treatments.
- Steps from the square Jemaa el-Fnaa and the souks are a few minutes away on foot.
