The hotel
A hacienda on the Sea of Cortez.
Casa del Mar sits at kilometre 19.5 of the Transpeninsular highway, in Cabo Real, about 13 kilometres from San José del Cabo and 21 from Cabo San Lucas. The building copies a Spanish colonial hacienda, with arches, fountains and red tile roofs, and gardens lead down to a private beach.
It belongs to Zoëtry, the wellness line of Hyatt's Inclusive Collection, and has been a AAA Four Diamond hotel since 2008. With seventy rooms it is small for the Corridor. Meals, drinks and room service at any hour are included, and the kitchens use vegetables from the resort's own organic garden.
- The spa A hydrotherapy room facing the ocean, steam room and sauna, five treatment rooms, a juice bar and a salon. A 20-minute treatment is included in the stay.
- On the beach Saltwater serves seafood by the sand at breakfast and lunch, and the Beach Club is for adults only.

Los Cabos International, where scheduled flights land, is about 30 kilometres away, some 25 minutes by car. Private jets can use the FBO there, or Cabo San Lucas International, about 20 minutes away by our estimate.
